Lavinia graduated from Macquarie Law School in 2014 with Honours. In 2015, after completing her Graduate Diploma, she was admitted to practise as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and in the High Court of Australia. During her legal studies, Lavinia worked at a mid-tier law firm in Greater Western Sydney in the areas of Family Law, Property Law and Wills and Estates Law.
In 2021 Lavinia became recognised as an Accredited Specialist – Family Law.
Lavinia joined the Sydney Family Law Specialists team in February 2016 and has been exclusively practising in Family Law since that time. She has particular expertise in complex parent matters, such as relocation, risk matters and matters involving third parties, whilst also having a passion for complex financial matters involving jurisdictional issues, complex business structures and evidencing the existence of disputed de facto relationships.
She diligently and passionately assists her clients through all stages of their matters, from their first consultation through to Final Court hearings. Whilst having carriage of her own files, Lavinia also provides invaluable support to the Director, Sonia Collins, working alongside her on numerous complex property and parenting matters, in addition to mentoring junior solicitors.
Lavinia’s skills are in advocacy for her clients which she pursues with passion and a wealth of legal knowledge, as well as providing a practical and sensible approach to assist her clients to achieve child focused and commercially minded agreements.
